About Us

Sitamaa Sahayata Foundation is a non-profit welfare foundation based in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh. We began in 2026 with a small group of volunteers from the town itself.

Our story

A few neighbours who decided to start

Two doctors practising in Barwani kept meeting the same problem from two sides: children who had stopped reading because nobody at home could help, and families who reached a clinic far later than they should have.

Neither needed a large organisation. It needed someone local to organise a morning. So we began with what we could manage: a reading circle in one village, a check-up camp with doctors who agreed to travel, and awareness sessions held sitting in a circle.

There is no office and no paid staff. Volunteers are neighbours, and the work runs on the time they give.

Common questions

What people ask about the foundation

Not here? Call or send a WhatsApp message; the details are just below.

Is the foundation registered?

Our registration and 80G paperwork is in progress. Once it is done, the registration numbers will be shown at the foot of every page.

Are you part of the government?

No. We are a small non-profit started by neighbours in Barwani. We help families apply for government schemes, but the decision stays with the government office.

How is the money used?

There is no office and no paid staff, so gifts go to material, medicines and travel for camps and classes. Call and ask what a past gift paid for.

Can I come and see the work?

Yes, please do. We have no office yet, so call before visiting. The best place to see the work is a camp or a reading circle, and we will tell you when the next one is.
