1. About these terms
These terms apply to sitamaasahayata.org and every page on it (“the website”), run by Sitamaa Sahayata Foundation, [legal form and Act, as on the certificate], registration number [registration number and date], PAN [PAN].
Please read them with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy and Disclaimer, which form part of these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or donate through it.
2. Using the website
You may use the website to learn about our work, donate, volunteer and contact us. You agree not to:
- use it for anything unlawful, or to mislead anyone about who you are;
- try to break into, overload or disrupt the website or the systems behind it;
- collect other people’s details from it;
- copy our content for commercial use, or present yourself as acting for the Foundation without our written permission.
3. Donations
A donation is a voluntary gift
Every donation is given freely. You receive no goods, services or benefit in return. All amounts are in Indian rupees.
Who can donate
We are not registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. We can therefore accept donations only from Indian citizens, including NRIs holding an Indian passport who give from their own funds in India. We cannot accept money from foreign nationals, OCI or PIO card holders, or organisations outside India. When you donate you confirm that you are an Indian citizen and that the money is your own. If a foreign contribution reaches us by mistake, we will not use it and will return it.
Details we need
Your name and address are required. The Income-tax Act 2025 taxes anonymous donations, so we cannot accept a gift if we cannot record who gave it. Please give correct details; we are not responsible for a tax certificate that is wrong because of details you entered.
Tax status
Current status
Sitamaa Sahayata Foundation has applied for approval under section 354 of the Income-tax Act, 2025 (formerly section 80G). Until approval is granted, donations are not eligible for income tax deduction and we cannot issue a tax certificate. We will update this page the day approval is received.
Once we hold approval, the email you receive when you pay is an acknowledgement only. Your donation certificate in Form 114 (formerly Form 10BE) will reach you by 31 May after the end of the financial year, once we have filed Form 113. Cash donations above ₹2,000 are not eligible for deduction, and we do not accept cash through the website.
How we use donations
We use donations for our charitable work in Barwani district and for the running costs that work needs. If you give for a named programme, we spend your gift on that programme. If it ends, is fully funded or cannot go ahead, we use your gift for the closest similar work, unless you ask for a refund under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Monthly donations
If you choose to give every month, you authorise a recurring payment through your card or UPI mandate. Your bank or payment partner will notify you at least 24 hours before each debit, as Reserve Bank of India rules require. You can stop it at any time; the Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how.
4. Payment processing
Online payments are processed by [payment gateway name], a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. Your card, UPI and bank details are entered on its secure page and are never stored by us. We are not liable for a delay or failure caused by your bank, the payment partner or the network, but we will help you trace any payment that went wrong.
5. Volunteering
- Volunteers must be 18 or older. Registering does not guarantee a place.
- Volunteering is unpaid and does not create employment. We reimburse agreed expenses only with receipts and prior approval.
- Anyone working with children must show ID, sign our code of conduct and follow our child safeguarding rules: no time alone with a child out of sight of others, no personal contact with children on phone or social media, and no photos of children on personal devices.
- You must report any concern about a child’s safety to our programme lead at once. Where the law requires it, we report to the police or Childline (1098).
- We may end a volunteer placement at any time, in particular to protect the people we serve.
6. Our content
The text, photos, Warli artwork, logo and design of this website belong to the Foundation or to the people who licensed them to us. You may share our pages and quote short passages with a link back. Anything more, including use of our name or logo, needs our written permission.
Photos of the people we serve are published with their consent, or their guardian’s, for our use only. Please do not copy or reuse them anywhere.
7. Official channels only
We accept online donations only through the donate page on this website and by bank transfer to our official account: [account name, bank, last 4 digits]. No trustee, volunteer or founder will ever ask you to pay into a personal bank account, personal UPI ID or wallet.
If anyone asks you for money in our name any other way, do not pay. Tell us at info@sitamaasahayata.org or +91 87188 19093.
8. Links to other websites
We link to government portals, partners and news reports that we think are useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability.
9. Limits of our liability
We work hard to keep the website accurate, available and safe, but we provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect loss arising from your use of the website, or from its being unavailable for a time. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit.
You agree to make good any loss the Foundation suffers because you broke these terms or used the website unlawfully.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please raise any problem with us first; most things can be settled with a phone call. If a dispute cannot be settled, the courts at Barwani, Madhya Pradesh will have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will show the new date and version at the top of this page. The terms in force on the day you donate apply to that donation.
