Volunteers wanted: how you can help in Barwani

The foundation runs on volunteers. Teachers, doctors and nurses, translators, drivers and people who can help with forms can all help, even for a few hours a month.

Sitamaa Sahayata Foundation has no paid staff. Every class, camp and session happens because someone gives a few hours. If you live in or near Barwani, or visit often, there is probably something you can do.

Which volunteers do we need?

  • Teachers and students to run reading circles and bridge classes.
  • Doctors, nurses and pharmacists to join check-up camps.
  • People who speak Bhili, Bareli or Nimadi to help explain sessions in the local language.
  • Drivers with a vehicle for camp days.
  • People who know government schemes to help families fill forms for Ayushman cards, pensions and scholarships.
  • Photographers to record the work, following our rules on consent.

What do we ask of volunteers?

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Anyone working with children shows ID and signs our code of conduct.
  • Volunteering is unpaid. Agreed expenses are paid back with receipts.

The full rules are in our Terms and Conditions.
